whats a true reset?

i just did a pacifist route through the whole thing and instead of reset it says true reset. what does that mean?

A True Reset completely wipes the game’s memory, including progress and character awareness, starting everything as if it’s your first time playing. It’s available after completing the True Pacifist Route.

its an actual reset rather than an in universe one

its to replay the game from scratch and experience the game for yourself under a different light or have someone else try out the game blindly etc

true reset is like reset but you can change frisk's nickname and resets flowey dialog like the one were you kill tori then go back and kill her again
