Origins of the Weapons - Theory Thread
The weapons in the game: you don't just find them because Toby needed a place to put them. How did they end up where they are? The Toy Knife outside of Toriel's home? The glove in the box? Shoes in grass? Tutu behind the falls? What are you're thoughts on the item placement. Does it support what you already know, or does it suggest something else about the previous human souls?

That suggest that Undyne the Undying was killed by a child wearing a tutu and a pair of ballet shoes. Truly heroic death

In regards to the tutu, Undyne comments on room being a good place to relax, however she never goes there for that very reason. The only person who may know the tutu was back there (maybe) would be the last person who passed by the echo flower outside the falls.

The ballet shoes under the grass are things Undyne knew about, but jokes about them because they wouldn't fit a normal monster. She probably never saw the human they belonged to.

In both cases it feels like that human's items were hidden away.

It is an interesting question of how thay got there. We know to whom thay belonged to. And people assume thay got to asgore and died there. But given the location of their belongings i don't think that is the case. Also we can't blame their deaths on Flowey since when he came around all souls have already been collected

Likely the Toy Knife and Ribbon were owned by a kid that didn't make it through the ruins or was the reason why Toriel sealed the ruins off to other monsters. Likely the kid who had the Glove was one of the later, thus probably grabbed one of the other kids things and placed it in the box. Likely somewhere in waterfall. Might be true of the Manly Bandana, and that one was taken out. Might be the Tough Glove was replaced with the ballet shoes, why the tutu and ballet are so far from one another. Likely the Scholar worked with the Turtle (Or came in early enough that he was still the Hero instead of Undyne), thus why he has their things. Judging by his reactions to humans and belief in prophecy, it's likely he kept their items more as a memento of friendship.

Gun and Cowboy hat being in a dumpster likely indicates that the kid with them probably felt bad since that weapon and the nature of the hat indicates he was using a lot of violence. Either that, or ditched it when it was out of bullets.

Of course the last set of items are owned by [spoilers] Asriel or Fallen Child[/spoiler].
