I think you can skip the "Check" step if you're taking care of other enemies, as long as he said an ice pun during the last turn.
Thanks for the tips. Should I delete this thread? Or leave it up?
Also, what may have been the problem you had with the Snowdrake is that you have to laugh specifically at its jokes. And it'll tell its joke whenever it attacks.
However, I think that if you try some other action (like Joke), it might instead respond to that action instead of making a joke. If you then laugh, it won't count because you laughed even though it didn't make a joke.
I'd say leaving it up is fine. That's more typical among most forums, plus it'd leave the info there in case anyone else has a similar problem.
Also far as enemies encounters being limited goes, they still are, though how kinda varies based on how you deal with them. If you go around sparing, past areas will eventually stop fighting you, though if you keep killing, you'll eventually exhaust them to the point nothing else shows up in the area.
@Ajogamer I did notice that in my beaten game I could go back and see new enemies to talk to just chilling out. Only really noticed it in this specific area though (the ice area)
It's not that complicated. If you try some sort of action (other than Checking) on the first turn, the Snowdrake will respond to that action instead of making a joke. If you then laugh, it'll respond with something like "What are you laughing at?" which, again, is not a joke.
So, the way to spare the Snowdrake is to not do anything for a turn, so that it gets a chance to make a joke.
