How do I spare the enemy Snowdrake?
I assume I need to do the actions in a certain sequence, I just can't figure it out now. It's funny, cause I already beat the game once, and didn't kill the ones I ran into before. I just forgot what the hell I did.

I feel dumb. Help?

I'm not use to the discussions on games in Steam Community, so if this is faux pas or anything (I searched Snowdrake already, got nothing) I'll delete it. I'll also delete it if I get an answer to my question if it's necessary.

Check -> Laugh

I think you can skip the "Check" step if you're taking care of other enemies, as long as he said an ice pun during the last turn.

You just have to laugh at their jokes.

That's weird... I don't remember doing that to beat them. I recall making them leave after saying something like "no one will ever love you" or something. I think I heckled them or something.

It's possible there could be multiple ways to spare them through actions, since I know that's the case for some other enemies. The way the others are describing above is the way I had always done it myself, though. I did try heckling once as well, though I don't think that let me spare them, so if it also works, I'd guess you may have to do it multiple times.

Well, thanks. I'm sure I'll remember this next time. I tried to test it out, but got bored after running circles on the bridge. (Not sure if enemies are limited like in the demo)

Thanks for the tips. Should I delete this thread? Or leave it up?

Just leave it up. It's possible that somebody will have the same problem.

Also, what may have been the problem you had with the Snowdrake is that you have to laugh specifically at its jokes. And it'll tell its joke whenever it attacks.
However, I think that if you try some other action (like Joke), it might instead respond to that action instead of making a joke. If you then laugh, it won't count because you laughed even though it didn't make a joke.

I'd say leaving it up is fine. That's more typical among most forums, plus it'd leave the info there in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Also far as enemies encounters being limited goes, they still are, though how kinda varies based on how you deal with them. If you go around sparing, past areas will eventually stop fighting you, though if you keep killing, you'll eventually exhaust them to the point nothing else shows up in the area.

@Nixitur So you're saying that I need to assume they are going to tell a joke, and laugh as my action as they are telling the joke? Or would I laugh on the following turn after its joke?

@Ajogamer I did notice that in my beaten game I could go back and see new enemies to talk to just chilling out. Only really noticed it in this specific area though (the ice area)

The latter. You always act before the monster, this is really obvious.
It's not that complicated. If you try some sort of action (other than Checking) on the first turn, the Snowdrake will respond to that action instead of making a joke. If you then laugh, it'll respond with something like "What are you laughing at?" which, again, is not a joke.
So, the way to spare the Snowdrake is to not do anything for a turn, so that it gets a chance to make a joke.

Ahhhh, okay thanks. Appreciate it.

Use spare/check one time, then laugh at him, because he'll have told a joke. He should be sparable afterwards.
