By the way, this will also disable the lasers in the the bomb defusal room and pre-spider conveyor belt room. However if you get your HP to 1 while those lasers are active, in bomb defusal room Alphys will say almost the same speech, except for the ending bit when she notices that you are on 'limited' time. In conveyor room you don't seem to get any extra dialogue and lasers do not get disabled, your HP just stays at 1 despite getting damaged.
"*Oh my god!
*The letter's not to PAPYRUS!!!
YEAH, UNDYNE'S GOT A POINT!
WHY DIDN'T SHE WRITE A LETTER TO ME INSTEAD?
*Fine, you want a letter!?
*I'll give you a letter!!!
*YOU GET AN "F"!
OH NO!!!
WHAT'S THE F FOR?
*Friendship!!!"
It's just so cute! XD
You can see inside Papyrus's shed If you lose to him- he is able to stop his attacks and you cannot die in the fight. If you lose too many times, he will just let you pass.
Megalovania, Fallen Down, and Metal Crusher are all remixes of songs Toby has composed for other projects.
The only cloud save data Undertale uses is to store post-no mercy route data. (World corruption and selling your soul.)
Visiting Home after saving Asriel and examining the mirror will yield "Still just you, Frisk."
The kickstarter promised a stretch goal for an Undertale alarm clock app, for which the goal has been met, but the app has not yet been delivered. Also reached and promises were extra comics and another game. (Hinted at, but not delivered. Yet.)
The highest vacker tier on the kickstarter was to guarantee "your fantroll would become canon". The " fantroll" that became canon was actually somebody's (highly controversial) fursona, and can be encountered as a hidden boss in Hotland's art room.
Muffet was designed by the creator of webcomic Ava's Demon as part of a backer tier.
A super secret monster can be encountered in front of the mysterious door in Snowdin if you walk around enough. It looks like an eel and it's actually shown in the trailer.
Not touching a single name in the special thanks credits will open the mysterious door in Snowdin. Inside are dogs, and the reveal that the entire game was created by a dog barking with text to speech on. Also, there's what looks like a black book with the Undertale logo.
Also, a good portion of the game was made in Homestuck creator Andrew Hussie's basement. It always comes back to Homestuck. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Whoops, hope enough of this was "game secrets" and not "out of game trivia"
That reflection thing was a fake screenshot someone made, sadly. Not a real thing in the game.
Both of you are telling the truth. But are actually talking about different things.
There was a fake screenshot that showed Frisk having Charas reflection in the puddle in Waterfall.
There is a room that does use a puddle sprite "reflection" that shows a character that is very similar to Chara but for some reason it was unused. Perhaps TobyFox thought the twist might be ruined (Although that would be an awesome dev thinks of everything touch.)
Video of the room with Chara reflection :

There's a huge difference between the two Chara images.
Obviously when you fight Toriel, her attacks start to avoid you, but you can force your hp down to zero before she starts to avoid you be running directly into her attacks at the bottom of your box.
If you let Toriel kill you, her hands will cover her mouth and her expression will be horrified. this only shows for the fraction of a second between your hp reaching zero and the animation of your heart breaking. But once you see it it's hard to unsee it.
Toby sure thought of everything.

And for Snowdin, the special SAVE point dialogue relates to killing Snowdrake. "That comedian..." is supposed to warn you if Snowdrake is still alive, although it's glitched to appear when you reach Snowdin Town anyways, and "The comedian got away. Failure." appears if you didn't kill them. Nothing unique outside of that.
- How many people ever noticed that if you hold down X during an opponent's attack (while you're dodging their bullets), you'll move more slowly? (I believe this is a mechanic that is often included in bullet hell shooters, to make it easier to make small movements between narrowly-spread bullets) I didn't notice until literally the last attack of the last opponent I hadn't yet fought in the game, when I was messing around while waiting for Sans to fall asleep at the end of my genocide run.
- You know that statue in Waterfall that plays "Memory" when you give it an umbrella? Well I believe it's supposed to have come from the fountain in the center of the MTT hotel; Mettaton ripped off the old statue, dumped it in Waterfall, and replaced it with the crude statue of himself. I believe the fountain says it's a "royal memorial fountain", and if you notice the statue has horns like Asgore; so it's possibly a statue of Asgore, but more likely it's supposed to be what Asriel looked like after absorbing Chara's soul. Further supporting this is that "Memory" is basically Asriel's theme. Really makes Mettaton seem like even more of a jerk when you realize all that.
- There are some little subtleties in the battles with Toriel and Asgore that many people probably didn't notice. Most people eventually realize that Toriel's attacks start avoiding you when you get down to 2 HP because she doesn't want to kill you, but they may not notice that you also start doing twice as much damage to her per attack (if you're attacking her) once she starts doing this. Why? As the Snowdin library says, Monster attack/defense is tied to their mentality; she's already having a hard time forcing herself to attack you, as her battle text suggests, and when you're nearly dead it weakens her resolve further, which weakens her defenses as she really doesn't want to fight you. Also, I was always confused about why you suddenly do a critical hit of damage when she gets down to around 30% HP; but my best guess is that it's related, in that once you start getting her low on HP, she realizes you're determined to keep fighting until she either dies or gives up. And realizing that she's failed to save another child and that you're going to go ahead and die is a tipping point that suddenly shatters her spirit, and with it her defenses. (as a side note, this is also probably related to why Undyne's defense drops dramatically if you last long enough to exhaust her unique dialogue, which is also when her battle text starts to describe her getting tired and desperate; her spirit is cracking as it becomes apparent she can't hit you well enough to kill you, weakening her defenses)
As for Asgore, notice that, much like Toriel, he's holding back in his battle with you, probably because he really doesn't want to kill another innocent child and is kind of hoping you'll defeat him; his attack and defense are respectable, but not nearly as high as the values of 80 his check claims he's capable of. And his attacks always leave you with at least 1 HP left unless you were already at 1 HP when they hit you; he hesitates to deal a killing blow unless you leave him with no other option. And as with Undyne, if you survive long enough to reach his strongest attacks, his defenses decrease because it's become apparent you're too good at dodging his attacks for him to defeat, weakening his spirit.
- If you press 'c' at the beginning of Papyrus's date/hangout, you'll bring up the dating/hangout "interface" before he tells you to; he'll comment that "it looks like you already did that" when he gets to the instructions to do so in his book.
- There's a surprising amount of depth to the snowball gold minigame in Snowdin, including a very difficult to obtain red flag that you have to be basically as fast as possible to get (getting it twice gives the rather touching text, "Try as you might, you continue to be yourself"), and a lot of hints about the natures attributed to the seven colored souls. I'd check the wiki page at http://undertale.wikia.com/wiki/Ball_Game for more details.
- Earlier there was a discussion about whether ignoring Greater Dog brings him close enough to pet in the same way beckoning does; I can confirm that ignoring him three times brings him close enough to pet (and leaves his sprite as just his eyes comically poking out over the top of the dialogue box for the rest of the fight), and I suspect ignoring him just once does as well but haven't tested it myself.
- During her battle, Muffet says that you're "Going to make a delicious cake". This is funnier if you remember that during Mettaton's cooking show, he said that a human soul was "the most important ingredient" of baking a cake, and had a can of human-soul-flavored artificial substitute as the alternative; either Muffet was watching his cooking show, or they have similarly disturbed tastes.
