I will continue walking in the spot i found all of my random encounters.
So fighting Mettaton without genociding the entire Hotlands/Core might screw it up?
Is there a way to use previous saves?
And that's about how many monster souls it'll take you to get back to where you were.
That was mean of me.
Sorry.
You know, maybe it's better if you give up on the genocide run. Do you really want to see everyone die? Do you want to be the one that kills them?
It's up to you, but maybe if you haven't gotten the true ending, get that ending and let everyone be. You can always go watch it on youtube.
If you do, you lose genocide status and will have to either revert to your save or start all over again.
You'll know you're good to go once you get a random encounter that has no enemies, and see "But nobody came"
or, if a save point text just says "Determination".
If you engage a boss before that happens, the game switches you to a neutral run. Even if you die, you're no longer in genocide mode. Only thing to do is quit and load your save. Unless you saved after engaging them, in which case you're screwed and have to start over.
Not that it really matters, since the game is so short.
