Undertale

1 enemy in hotland left [Spoilers]
I am doing a genocide run ( And correctly now ), i have come to Hotland.
But after grinding and carefully progressing without messing up, i am stuck with 1 enemy. I have defeated mettaton, and i have checked everywhere in Hotland. I have also checked all rooms in the Core.
But there is one guy at the shop on the hotel at the entrance. Can i fight him somehow?
Also, there are force fields at Left floor 2 and right floor 2 in hotland. Is there a way to get past them?
EDIT: I forgot to mention; I checked the Hotland - Core End save ( The one at the beginning of the grey ruins ) And it just lets me save. Is the last enemy in Core end? I am scared to save incase i mess up.

All of the enemies should be accessible from any regular place they spawn in Hotland (that is, before the hotel). For example, after going through the lab, the first screen in which you see steam launch pads should spawn enemies. If the save point here doesn't say how many left, or at least a couple minutes of walking around doesn't generate an encounter, I think you might have messed up by progressing too far.

I checked the save point on the first room with steampads, it still said 1 left.
I will continue walking in the spot i found all of my random encounters.

In my Genocide run, I got to Hotlands/Core and went in to the Castle to get the Worn Dagger and Locket to help grind and enemies stopped spawning. When I e-mailed the creator asking if I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥, he said "Yes, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥. If Mettaton says you screwed up, you screwed up."

So fighting Mettaton without genociding the entire Hotlands/Core might screw it up?

Sorry.

You know, maybe it's better if you give up on the genocide run. Do you really want to see everyone die? Do you want to be the one that kills them?

It's up to you, but maybe if you haven't gotten the true ending, get that ending and let everyone be. You can always go watch it on youtube.

As long as you don't hear Mettaton say "you were holding back, and i know you're not that evil" You still have a chance. Just keep going back and grinding. I've notcied your chances are higher if you leave that area with the convetor belts and come back to grind again a little later.

If you're trying for a Genocide run, you cannot fight a boss until after clearing out all the random battles.

If you do, you lose genocide status and will have to either revert to your save or start all over again.

You'll know you're good to go once you get a random encounter that has no enemies, and see "But nobody came"

or, if a save point text just says "Determination".

If you engage a boss before that happens, the game switches you to a neutral run. Even if you die, you're no longer in genocide mode. Only thing to do is quit and load your save. Unless you saved after engaging them, in which case you're screwed and have to start over.

Not that it really matters, since the game is so short.
