(SPOILERS)How to befriend Undyne?

Last time I ran towards the Hotlands and gave her some water, but she left and I didn't make friends with her. Did I do something wrong? I'm going for true ending, so I need to know how to befriend Undyne for that.

I went on the date with Papyrus, and when I killed Flowey I got a phone call from Sans.

Sans: *heya.
Sans: *is anyone there...?
Sans: *well... just calling to say.
Sans: *you made a snowman really happy.
Sans: *... guess i should say something else, too.
Sans: *since you left, things down here...
Sans: *are different.
Sans: *with ASGORE gone...
Sans: *undyne became the ruler of the underground.
Sans: *she's deceided to destroy every human that comes here.
Sans: *and since the human souls disappeared...
Sans: *she's also looking for a new way to break the barrier...
Sans: *and when she does, she's going to wage war on humanity.
Sans: *i mean, that was asgore's plan, too.
Sans: *but he was really, uh, bad at it.
Sans: *undyne has also expanded the royal guard massively.
Sans: *she says the first thing she'll do after we get out of here...
Sans: *is take her army...
Sans: *and personally hunt you down and destroy you.
Sans: *meanwhile...
Sans: *i've been knocking on the door to the RUINS...
Sans: *but that woman hasn't been answering me...
Sans: *maybe she's not feeling well?

And when I go to Undyne's house Papyrus says:

BUT SHE SAID SOMETHING WEIRD.
SHE SAID SHE WON'T HANG OUT WITH A MURDERER.
BUT... HMM...
I DON'T REMEMBER MURDERING ANYONE...
THOUGH I AM A PRETTY BRUTAL KIND OF GUY.
THEN SHE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT WANTING TO...
FIGHT SOME KIND OF BAD GUY.
BUT SHE SEEMS VERY... WEAK FROM SOMETHING.
SHE STEPPED OUT AND COLLAPSED IN THE DOORWAY.
SO I'M JUST WAITING HERE IN CASE SHE NEEDS ME.
SINCE SHE HATES BEING WAITED ON HAND AND FOOT.
I THINK WE'LL HAVE TO HANG OUT LATER...

Did you go on the date with Papyrus? Did you do the same with Undyne? Did you kill anybody after befriending Undyne?

Same thing happened to me. i went on the date with him. proceeded through what i thought was the end. spared flowey, never killed anyone. then aftrewards flowey told me i should go be betr friends with undyne. So i know Papyrus should be in front of UNdyne's house, but he's still in his house with the same dialogue as the "date" How do i get him to go to UNdyne's house since i've already completed things???

So I dated Papyrus and Spared Undyne, but Papyrus says she wont hang out with a murder, and said to hang some other time. The only enemy (technically) killed was Naptablook (I was hurting him) but he is still alive. Help?

If you already know the pacifist path is about never even pressing the Attack button why you do it anyway...?

I have same prob, but I did date Papyrus, maybe I should try buying the key in the alley outside MTT place (whatever its called). I don't know if it's Sans' key or Undyne's key, but I'll try getting it.

The Same happened to me on my neutral TWICE i never befriended undyne so im doing the pacifist sow

Seems like you either killed Toriel or some other random conflict. Reset and try again. Or set your kill level to 0 in the games files!

This then lets you get the call they were talking about. You go to undynes house, get a letter and bring is to Alphys.

Even if this is really late I hope it helps anyone that stumbles across this thread.

Did you go on the date with Papyrus? Did you do the same with Undyne? Did you kill anybody after befriending Undyne?

I did all of those things. I haven't killed a single monster.
