Game length?

This game looks really charming, but I see on the kickstarter page it states game length as 2-4 hours. That is really short :/ Is that still the case, or has the project expanded into a full RPG-length? Thanks!

Iunno. But just to inform you, please remember this is a multiple endings video game. So imagine it as 2-4 hours per play through. There's definitely going to be 3 endings for sure.

I don't think game length can be easily determined on this kind of game.
The game length varies a lot by what kind of person you are, and how much you want out of the game.

All we know is that the demo takes people anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 HOURS.
It's one of those 'multiple endings' kind of games, but with an extra complication.

From everything I've read about the game, I'd estimate the higher end to be upwards of 10 hours, but I haven't played the game so I wouldn't know.

Needless to say, this game will most likely be worth the money regardless of length. You can tell a good story and have a good game in a short amount of time.

The most recent estimate from the creator is six hours per play through. If it's like the demo, though, you'll want to play it multiple times. There's a lot of bonus dialogue and stuff.

I played an early Alpha, and it took me 13 hours. This is talking to all NPCs multiple times to get all their dialogue and looking for secrets.

Given the depth story, and how the very act of SAVING and SAVE scuming changes not only the plot and character interactions, but also spans multiple playthroughs of the game, giving a exact time frame for the game length is tricky at best, and confounding at worst. Content-wise, it might be 5-7 hours, depending on how fast a person can get through it and possible complications. Story and character-wise, that can take quite a bit longer, up to 15 hours or more, depending on how neurotic and diligent a person is with exploring everything. The above isn't even factoring in replayablility (due to in part with how th game works), or how familiar people are with the game, or games like it. Thier's also the the factor that a person could only just play through it once and never pick it up again, so that can cut down on gamplay time significantly.

tl;dr: Due to the game's complexity and a person's own play-style, giving an absolute gameplay length is hard. Conservitly: ~6 hours; Generously: ~+15 hours.

As has already been said, the dev claims a playthrough will be worth around six hours. But if the demo is anything like the rest of the game, you'll probably want to replay it (or at least re-do the boss fight when you don't get the fight kind of "win" you wanted)

Look at my profile, I've played Undertale for over 100 hours, and even to this minute I could freely open it and go play it again, now that I think of it I may do that xD

My first play run took 10/12 hours...

If you do a rush and not just enjoy the game yeah, sure, you get 2 hours.. nothing rewarding as you didn't devoted yourself anyway

Unless you skip everything and know everything in advance, it's gonna take you 6-8 hours on your first playthrough.

But then again, you probably wouldn't be doing genocide if that were the case.
