How to return to Temmie Village?

I'm stuck at the Mettaton Ex fight and though I'd return to Temmie Village to buy the better armour. How do I get back to the world after entering the core?

To get out of the core you take the elevator next to the entrance to Mettaton fight, then walk down.

From hotel you walk down two screens, then right for elevator, you take floor L1 I believe, then you walk down from there untill you find the riverman/woman and take the boat to Waterfall. From there, you walk to the village.
