Frisk vs Chara
In your opinion, who would win in the end if both faced against each other? The two of them have an insane amount of determination and would not stop for anything. I think this is a fight that would drag on for all eternity. Frisk would not give up until he saved Chara. And Chara would not give up until he killed Frisk.
Can Chara even be saved at this point? Is his soul even human anymore? He calls himself a demon, the personification of destruction. In my opinion, it was a very wise idea to leave this fight out of the game, because as I said, we're dealing with two extremely powerful opposite forces here. It's like comparing an unstoppable force vs an immovable wall.

It's only up to the player to choose a winner, obviously.

IMO, Chara would win, Frisk has not experienced PvP yet. However, if Sans teach Frisk about dodging human attacks and all that jazz, It'd be more balanced.

Asriel mortally wounded Frisk (several times if you keep gettint hit) and he refuses to die purely by determination.

All Frisk can do is trying to convince his opponent to stop fighting.
But this opponent will never stop until all the obstacles are eradicated.

The best case scenario for Frisk is an endless 1-way battle.

Chara VS Frisk, Chara wins, we see this in genocide.

Chara VS the player (You and what you name your character as your avatar) We can just erase the game via appdata, so we win.

We are always in control
are we realy talking about this

chara is a simbol shes not intended to lose

Everyone has their own interpretation of certain things in this game (part of why it makes it so great); as such, I've always had it in my head that the extreme amount of determination at Frisk's diisposal is actually Chara's.
Chara is in you no matter what. Playing Genocide is you letting Chara completely take over. Pacifist is Frisk staying under his/her own control. Of course, doing a Genocide at all means Chara has won and is in control every single run thereafter.
Either way though, the actual power of determination comes from Chara; Frisk just has the ability to control it since Chara is possessing them.

That's my belief anyway. Completely debatable. :) And thaaaaat's politics!

Chara is dead.

Well if Chara had its original form (genocide ending), then I'd say Chara. Most likely Frisk would win if we're just looking how the story is orginally scripted and likely picked by people (the ultimate judge of who wins by merely playing pacifistly or genocide)

That's actually a pretty interesting interpretation. Never thought about it.

Chara won't stop attacking, and Frisk won't stop trying to convince Chara to stop fighting. Frisk can't force Chara to stop, but Chara can't actually put Frisk down ("but it refused"). The fight carries on for an arbitrarily long period of time without a clear victor.

However, while Chara may be the unstoppable force who won't stop attacking, and Frisk may be the immovable object who won't stand aside or go down and stay down, there's a third key element in this equation: Us. The Player. Chara may be willing and able to attack forever, and Frisk may be willing and able to defend forever, but we eventually have to move on with our lives, turn the game off, and go do something else. And in the end, all Frisk wants to do is end the fighting.

Thus, Frisk inevitably wins. Frisk's "win" condition is fulfilled by what the Player will eventually do, faced with a battle that can never actually reach a conclusion.
