Genocide run black screen?
I finished a genocide run and now the screen is just black with a wind noise.
How do I fix?

Why not listen to the wind for a while, me?

Good time to reflect on past mistakes. :flowey:

Edit: I love this thread.

After 10 minutes of listening to this wind you will be punished for all of your crimes.

PS: 3 Floweys in one thread :)

You have to sell your soul to Chara, then everything goes back to normal. To prove that, do another pacifist run, I promise nothing at all offputting happens.
You have to wait 10 minutes, and not read any of the posts above mine...

Here's an actually helpful answer, taken from the wiki. Sorry to spoil your "fun", flower idolizers :squirtmeh:

Consequence Avoidance
Save Locations

Default save locations are as follows:

Windows: %SystemDrive%\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\UNDERTALE and USER/AppData/Roaming/Steam/CODEX/280360/remote/System_information_#
Mac: ☀~/Library/Application Support/com.tobyfox.undertale/

Modifying/Deleting Files

Note that this method will not work for players of the Steam version.

To return to a playable state, the player can enter their save data folder and either:

Delete or rename the file "system_information_962". This will remove any effects of having done the genocide route. This file being present without "system_information_963" is what causes the game to load 'destroyed' until the player sells their soul.
Copy the above file or create a new file and (re)name it "system_information_963". The presence of this file will load the game normally, but with all post-genocide route effects. Essentially this file is noting you have sold your soul to the First Human.
Alternatively, right click either file, select properties and then security. Remove [Your username] and [administrators] rights to READ the file. Click apply.
Alternatively, one can completely uninstall the game and do a fresh reinstall.

Steam

Undertale automatically syncs with the Steam Cloud before starting up - even disabling Steam Cloud or disconnecting from the internet is not sufficient. There is always a local Steam Cloud cache available. However, the Steam Cloud cache files can be deleted as stated here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2470784

Accept the consequences, do the 10 minutes things.
Robodemon things is for those who can't accept the consequences.
The cowards.

It only change the 2 last second of pacifist ending.

It's a VIDEO GAME. Escapism. Nothing anyone does here or in any other title reflects on who they are as a person. You people take this entirely too seriously.

What I mean is...
this is like using cheats to pass someting you don't want to.
Yes, it can be done, and it doesn't matter that much...
but doing it SHOULDN'T be the FIRST thing comming in your mind.
Specially when the one asking DON'T ask for being free of consequences...

I feel like you folks got a bit ahead of yourselves there. OP didn't even ask about the filescumming, just wanted to get rid of his screen. :flowey:

That's what I mean.
If he want to do it after that...
well, it is his choice.

When a game someone's spent good money on renders itself unplayable or "tainted", doesn't matter if it's due to the player's own actions, unless the player hacked/modded the game into a buggy mess (hello Elder Scrolls) there's grounds for a little grumbling. Nier gets the stinkeye from me for the same reason.

As for using cheats to pass something and similar issues, it's a single-player game. What do you care what anyone does with their own copy? They paid for it, let them screw with it if that's their choice.

And don't mind me CyperAleksi, I'm just kinda grumping for the sake of grumping. Carry on

I don't care if you CHOOSE to do it but let HIM CHOOSE, this is all I ask.
You come and talk like that was the only option when this is not.
Let him choose.

Anyways, he got his answer, let's stop this :p

It amuses me that a question as simple as how to continue the game sparks such a heated argument.
