HELL. Can't get past Muffet, doing a Neutral (Pacifist but it's my first time playing) route
So, I don't want to kill Muffet. I don't want to kill anyone, even if it won't give me the pacifist ending in my first run.
HELP.
I can't get past the LAST "dinner" phase. You know, the one right before you win?
DAMNIT.
Please send help through the comments.
Gracias.

1. Give money
2. burnt Apron/ temmie armor
3. Hot'dogs
4. the notebook for more invisability
I've pretty much did that part only a burnt apron, Some Dog salads (Gambling on dog residue before most fights), and reflexes alone, while paying for attack drops during certain phases. Just develop a strategy and conquer!

I had the Notebook equipped myself to give me more invincibility frames.

If none of the other advice above helps, reset the game and get something from the spider bake sale in the ruins, and eat it in the muffed fight. I heard she realizes you aren't a cheapskate and let's you go.

To clarify, you CAN do a "true pacifist" run your first time playing. After you get the neutral ending, you can continue on to the true pacifist stuff. Think of it like a post-game kinda thing.

But technically that's a second run. You've just finished the Neutral route so that counts as a run.

Eat a spider donut in front of her during the fight~

If you really died a lot, the temmie armor should be dirt cheap by now.
Assuming you know where to buy it :p

Or just, as said, give Muffet money before this attack so you'll be hit for less this turn (also, struggling two times during the fight divide the cost of paying her by two).

And get healing items. Hot dogs and such. sans have a shop in the core, but you can also take the elevator and the boat to go back to snowdin if you want.

... anyway, I get why you want to do a pacifist run but really, it's going to be tough if it's your first time playing the game. Good luck!

How long have you been stuck? Eventually you should be able to memorize the pattern naturally and get better at dodging.

Can confirm this, got a donut for 7g in the ruins and saved it for her battle after watching my bf die fighting her on his first play through. She'll end the fight immediately and let you go once you eat it

You can still get them. Backtrack. If you send Temy at the shop in the temmie village to "colleg", she will come back saying she is now selling the temmie armour.
The notebook can be bought from the turtle dude in Waterfall.
The frying pan is found somewhere near conveyer belts in hotlands... I can't remember exactly where.

Should have bought the spider donut from the ruins
Eat it during the battle, Muffet will ask where you got it and think you stole it, but the message from the ruins spiders will come right away.
Seriously, I am gonna do that in EVERY run from now on, Muffet is terrible. I got through the fight without paying any money pretty easily by just using healing items though, so if you lack a donut or a cider, stay determined I guess?
