I need help with Snowdin Forest.. [ GENOCIDE RUN/NO MERCY SPOILERS ]

So I have been killing monsters in Snowdin Forest and I have successfully made my start on the Genocide Run/No Mercy Run and I always have one monster to kill but instead of it saying ' One more is left. ' it says; ' That comedian... '. I don't have a clue if this is a bug or not, it makes me wanting to reset it over and over again because after that text pops up I don't even get a single encounter and all of the save points just says ' That comedian... '. I even went as far back as the start of Snowdin forest ( Where the ruin's doors are located. ). but, to no avail I didn't even get a single encounter. Is there something I messed up on? I don't know if Greater dog causes the Genocide Run / No Mercy Run to end...

I have already done that... I've been trying for about at least two hours already but STILL... That one monster just doesn't want to show it's face.

I'm having the same problem I don't think the genocide route is possible for me

The savepoints say "That comedian. . . " after you kill Greater Dog. However, the counter is still going on even if you can't see it. If you keep grinding enemies you will eventually get the "But nobody came", and "Determination" messages.

As long as you kill all the required enemies in Snowdin before fighting Papyrus you are fine.

When grinding enemies stay in the same room, and make sure it's a room monsters actually spawn in (the gauntlet of deadly terror bridge will be a good place to grind in Snowdin). The spawn rate decreases as you kill more monsters so it takes longer for encounters to show up. So DON'T keep changing rooms or you'll reset the spawn wait time.

The comedian is Snowdrake. Did you encounter him? If you ran away from him, he won`t appear again.

The checkpoint is actually talking about Sans, but it doesn't affect the game or mean you've done something wrong.

I'm actullay having the same problem. The save point says "one left" but I can find that one monster!

Like Spooky said, "that comdian" is Sans. It is possible that they (Chara and Sans) have met before when Chara was alive.

The thing is, I'm at one moster left, and I haven't killed Greater Dog. Should I do this, or wait till I find the last random encounter?

First of all, Sans was never called a comedian. Nobody called him that, like 99% of players think it's him. It's actually Snowdrake. Second, I don't think that Chara and Sans knew each other when Chara was living in the underground.
