File called "smile"?
As it turns out, went to check AppData\Local\UNDERTALE for laughs, which seemingly contains a single file called "smile". Opening it brings up something familiar.

Is this commonly known? It's a small thing, but I haven't heard it being mentioned. :flowey:

Edit:

Seems like it's like this.

I just checked my folder and I have the "smile" ASCII too... Do you have the Non-Steam version?

Nah, Steam version.

Checked and there is some interesting words in it...

Common words are:

No
do

Something interesting was...

do and No/ (/oNMMMMMdo-) are very close to each other so I presume it could be "Do not"

That's all I really found so far.

If you listen to it while looking at the ASCII art of Gaster, you'd notice the sound matches the letters in the text.
Gaster noises.

It is very possible to turn a text file into a sound file.

(of course I can listen to letters)

I know that if you speed up certain Undertale songs, they sound like other songs in the OST. For instance if you speed up Pathetic House to 2x, it has the same arangement as Spider Dance. Perhaps the same holds true with "smile". I played the audio clip on 2x on Youtube and it appeared that there was a hidden message slowed down. Maybe Toby is hiding something in there and wants us to speed it up to decode the message?

Wasn't there a program that was used on portal 2 radio's noises
What if you use it on smile.ogg

Okay it's said to be muffet's laugh reversed and slowed down, if used in spectogram there is a random object at the end (presumably gaster's face)
