Undertale
Why do I resist killing all these characters?
The characters have tried to kill me a few times, yet I can't bring myself to fight. Usually I fight in most games, so why am I feeling so different now?
I'm worried there's something wrong with me.

That last one... it's not like that...
I do admit Flowey is a completely evil character unlike the rest.
But that doesnt make what i said any less true.
Flowey does not know kindness both because he is incapeable of giving it and he doesnt understand when you give it as his moral belief is "kill or be killed".
The highest authority in all of the underground has chosen the lives of his people over any humans who comes down which would only further floweys ideals.
In the end flowey did no different then the king.
The reason flowey didnt understand the concept of kindness was because while everyone in the underground acted no different then he did they still claimbed to have it.

Flowey may have deserved whatever he got in the end but his character is utterly pitiful.
No no no, i'm not talking about that, i'm talking about what happens with that character in the true pacifist ending :sans:

You don't want to do it, because you care about them, and, that's good

Kill them later though, specially after a Pacifist run :squirtyay:
They're rare, but any game that gives me an option between killing and not killing will do that to you. Even Dishonored was like that - I assumed I'd play "no kills" and come back for a violent mayhem run, but I could never do it.

I guess in Undertale's case, it's that the game (assuming you've played to the end on anything except No Mercy) has already held a mirror up to you and shown you that real, unfettered forgiveness is only possible where it's hardest to give it. Past that, the minor obstruction of understandably aggressive creatures can't be easily met with murder ever again.

I have this kind of love/hate with the idea that new people are getting a rollercoaster of conflicting friendly suggestions.

One, i love the community for these devilish innocent pranks, on the other i am afraid new people will get mad with the results they eventually get if confused by the comments.

But pls. Keep them going x)

I personally love that about the community. I've never seen it anywhere else, it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. :special:

Cyper is the best representation of Flowey on these forums, he does a insane job at it. I wouldn't mind if he was a administrator of these forums. :fhappy:

I would impersonate Undyne, but nah... maybe... nah.
Gee, it's like the game's trying to teach you a lesson or something. . .

I would yiff Undyne, but yah... definetly... yah.
This is why I don't want to impersonate her, I don't want to be yiffed.

Did you know, that actually you can get through most games without killing anyone, except for in some cases the final boss. Notable examples are: Fallout: New Vegas, Super Mario, and Tetris.

But what about RPGs, other than Fallout?

Well, think about it this way. Does the game ever explicitly say, "Kill him"
, or does it say get past him?

In Tetris you "kill" blocks tho.
Said people, not inanimate blocks.
