'Saved' data NOT saved?

Hey, I originially bought this game on my hubby's window's laptop, thought I'd play it there in the mean time while my mac charger came in ( just came in today) anywho I downloaded steam-undertale, and it says I've played 9 hours, which is true BUT it's making me start the game from the very beginning, is there a way around this? I mean it saved the hours I played but doesn't give me an option to continue where I left off, please help? thnx xoxo

I'm a bit confused from reading the post, but you're saying that you switched computers? Your save file is still on the other computer then. Steam Cloud does not transfer saves between computers, but you can do it manually.

Locate your Undertale save folder on the previous computer. It can normally be found in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\UNDERTALE. Copy file0, file8, file9, and undertale.ini, move them onto a USB, and paste 'em in your current computer's save file folder.

^ Couldn't have said it better myself. It will probably say there is a file conflict; just let the new files overwrite the old ones.

Thank you, sorry I was trying to type as fast as I could ;___; Yes, I switched computers and now my permenant computer is the mac I own, I was wondering if it matters that the one I orginally played the game on was a windows? I'll try getting a hold of a usb and try it out, thank you so much!

So I guess you want to transfer the save file or so over, but don't know if it works since the new computer is a mac.

Not really sure about how that works myself.

The transfer from Windows to Mac should most likely work. The only difficult part would be locating the Undertale save file folder on the Mac.
