How do I befriend Undyne?

I've spared Papyrus and Undyne in my respective battles against them. During my fight with Undyne while I was running from her, Papyrus called me and said something like 'It would be great if we 3 could be friends, let's meet at Undyne's house later!' and hung up. When Undyne passed out at the Hotland and I offered her the water but she didn't say anything and walked away.

I'm currently at Undyne's house (the fish one, near where Napstablook's is) but Papyrus is not there and there is no response at the door. I'm on the True Pacifist Route (my kill count is 0). Is there anything I'm doing wrong or anything I need to do first? Thanks.

Edit: I went to Papyrus's house. He's still there and just tells me to take a look around.

You have to date Papyrus and (not confirmed) hang out with Sans.

And... How do I do that?

According to the wiki to 'date' Papyrus he has to be in his special date wear and give me spaghetti or something. If hanging out with Sans is visiting Grillby's with him I've done that already (and while I was there I told him Papyrus was cool).

Can the date only be done after defeating Asgore and/or Flowey?

It can be done before that.

Did you go back to Snowdin to talk with Papyrus?

Go to papyrus and talk to him. Have you killed anyone, btw?

You have to go to Papyrus' room and talk to him. Then the date will start.
