Why isnt someone making Undertale an animated series?!

I just finished watching someone's pacifist playthrough on Undertale, (just bought the game and am about to play through it myself) ,and I thought this game was beautiful! As I saw the play-through I couldn't stop but think of how good this would be as a short animated series. I've seen great fanart that really brings to life many of the iconic moments, battles, and characters so it really made me want this to be a thing. Is there any chance of Toby or someone out there who could do this?

If they have the DETERMINATION for it then it is highly possible. Toby probably going to just make a miniature comic series on Undertale (depending on Stretch Goals) and make more projects (another game maybe). There WILL be a small group of people that might animate this.

All we gotta do is wait.

Anyone but Disney and Nick. I think they'll just bastardize (mess up) because of some underlying themes in the game. That is...in terms of commericalized hosting.

I think Netflix would do an good job. But the one person who could turn an Undertale Anime Adaptation into a master piece would be Hiyao Miyazaki

I agree and to actually give the cast voices would be amazing that is if anyone had a better empresion of papyrus than me! "NYeh heh heh!"

There are a lot of people making animations of certain scenes. Some do 3D animation as well. You can find them on youtube. But no full series as such because... well here's the thing....

Even if you have a team of people working on the various elements, this is long, hard and thankless work. Just for 5-10 mins of animation. Hell even 3 can be hard depending on just how many frames you want and the art style.

Same reason movies based off books tend to suck. Undertale is designed to be a game, and I feel that most of the games impact would be lost if it was a show/movie.

People have made awesome shorts and stuff but... An animated series would be amazing! Seriously people do have to make an animated series
