Basically it is about memorization on how to dodge his attacks: Vine lasers can generally be dodged by moving the oposite direction of whatever side you are on, there is a place on the fast eye stars that if you move with will allow you to dodge them, for flamethrower you will generally want to be on the bottom of the screen, and if you get flamethrower + Big ass laser well accept your punishment. If you want to avoid damage early in generally start in the lower right corner under his hand and he should use one of the patterns that I stated. The rest have patterns to them but honestly alot of it is about reacting and memorizing. Also save state abuse is going to be used whenever you decide to move the direction that would force you into the saved attack generally (Not sure if this is right honestly I'm also not sure how reliably dodge it).

But oh well if you die the boss should get easier.
