WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT ONE.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get something out of my eye.
...What is it, you ask? TEARS!
also, "You should be smiling, too. ...You're going to be free." said by the narrating monsters in new home on a neutral run. everybody in the game is so hyped to see you die, so they can go free. you should be smiling! your death will mean something! you will die, but you'll mean more to us then! idk if they even know it'll mean your/frisk's death, but yeah.
Actually the monsters that talk to you during the New Home sequence actually are mistaking you for a monster, they don't know that you are a human.
It's just meant to make you think about the different outcomes for the Asgore fight (if it actually went how you are led to believe it would had Flowey not shown up).
it's still what i think of when i hear the quote, considering we know frisk is human and all; but thank you for clarifying
i'm actually a little surprised there isn't an ending where frisk just sacrifices themself for all the monsters of the underground. that's what the sequence brought to my mind, anyway
My sort of fan headcanon is that after countless reset cycles Frisk gives their soul to Asriel when you can go talk to him in the ruins post-pacifist route. This allows Asriel to be normal again, and they all get to go to the surface. Chara seeing that this will ruin their plans confronts Frisk and Asriel directly within their now shared soul. Eventually during the fight, Chara loses their grip on Frisk's soul as well as their own determination, and without it Chara simply fades away.
Everyone goes to the surface, Asriel/Frisk becomes the ambassador between the monsters and humans.
When you have killed snowdrake in neutral run. Said by his fatha...
and
"You dirty brother killer"
You.... at my most vulnerable moment... to think i was worried you wouldn't fit in out there... ehehehehe... you really are not different than them!....ha.....ha....
