Sans' room

So I've already completed the neutral run, and I am now about to complete the true pacifist run. I'm about to be judged by Sans, how do I get the key to his room?

Talk to Sans and keep reloading, he tells you some secret codes that your character tells him next time you load. Just keep doing this and he'll give you the key.

Assuming that you didn't kill anyone, you have a good old chat with Sans, then quit the game without saving.

Then you talk to him again, quit the game without saving.

Repeat untill satisfied. Keything is to not save inbetween the chats.

Reload into the SAVE file each time you talk to Sans.

So talk to him, quit the game, get back in the game, load the save, repeat. Eventually he should give you the key.

Note: I'm a dumb and might be wrong

You're not supposed to save after listening to his speech. You're supposed to turn off the game without saving. Now it's too late to get the key.

You talk to Sans, after he is done exit the game (without saving). Then go to him again, rinse and repeat until he gives you the key. Hope this helps! :)

Can you do this before fighting Asgore the first time or do you have to go back and befriend Undyne and Alphys first?

Ooh, I got spooked for a moment thinking I just necrobumped the heck out of this thread. Anyways, no, I don't think you need to befriend them as the ending where you meet with Sans isn't the one where they all come to stop the fight with Asgore. But you could've posted a new discussion for this, this thread is like, REALLY old.
