how do i not kill asgore if i do not have the pie or the stick?

also you have to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of him or the game wont continue.

Yup. Equip them, and beat the stuffing out of asgore.

He isn't that tough, just learn his patterns + talk to him 3 times to lower attack. I personally had my inventory full of bicicles becuase they are a good value heal item

How to win that fight as a pacifist:
Talk to him three times to reduce his attack and defense. If you really really need the help, use the slice of pie if you still have it. That will again reduce attack and defense. Otherwise, don't use it...?

Now, beat the stuffing out of him with the fight command. You will have the option to spare him once his health is low.

Not so spoiler tip : Consider the fight as a duel rather than as a fight to the death.

You don't need to. If you finish the game, if you didn't kill anything. Reload that save file. And befriend Undyne and Alphys, after you do that, you will be given an experience to wash away all that NOPE.
