Does taking a bite out of Vegetoid count as a Kill?

I've done this in a demo run before, If you were to DEVOUR a Vegetoid, and get get some XP then yes, it would count as a kill, but the only way to devour it would require weakening it.

No, it does not. Devoured multiple vegetoids on my pacifist run.
Asking for lunch counts as "weakening"

To be quite Honest, I could be wrong, I mean, I did play the Demo, But never really tried to Devour the vegetoid, in the real game itself, due to concerns of it being like eating it alive, would give it that exp thing. So take my answers with a grain of rice, or salt, maybe sugar? I don't know...

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. If your XP is still at 0 afterwards, you're good.

It DID count as a kill in the demo, funnily enough.

you've gotten enough comments telling you how it is already, but heres a bit of an explination as to WHY it doesnt count in a pacifist run, he wants to be eaten, hes a vegetable and he wants to feed you, so devouring him doesnt count as a kill because its not evil, he wants you to do it

Nope! You do not gain any EXP when you take a chop outta them. As it says in the game, they're there for YOUR health :3👍

Well, I mean, I weakened it without hitting it. I clicked ACT then Dinner and after I got the green veggie thing while dodging the other attacks, its name turns yellow which means it was weakened. I'm not sure about hitting it to weaken it then DEVOURing it tho
