Does the True Reset after pacifist run start the game from scratch?
My first playthrough was pacifist, but since it was my first time playing Flowey told me to go back and become friends with Alphys. After doing that and getting the pacifist ending, I now have the option on the menu to do a "true reset."
I want my boyfriend to play this game and get the exact same experience I got- fighting Omega Flowey and then with him telling you to go back and become friends with Alphys and then getting the pacifist ending.
My questions is: If my boyfriend plays my file after "True Reset" and goes pacifist will it be exactly the same? How do I get that exact same ending again?

True reset should bring you back to ground 0, brand new.

Of course, you could also delete your saves from appdata if you really wanna be sure.

How do I do that?

True reset is exactly what it says on the tin. A complete, 100% removal of everything you've done up to this point.

...although I don't know if removes the 'taint' from a Genocide playthrough...assuming you can get A True Reset after that anywho.

%appdata% on the search bar where your programs are located.

First play through cannot be Pacifist (well True Pacifist).

Yes, it's name is self-explanatory.

EDIT: how the ♥♥♥♥ I got ninja'd by so many ppl. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Flowey.

True reset without a genocide run in place is a clean wipe. This means you will have to get a neutral ending again in order to get the pacifist ending again (Enjoy surviving Flowey's bullet hell nonsense again). True reset will NOTundo the fact that you sold your soul to chara in order to respawn the game world after a genocide run.

I've just finished True Pacifist, and I want to find my save file so I can copy and "save" it before I do a true reset. But I can't find the folder anywhere. I have two hard drives, the SSD (which my PC counts as my main one), and my HDD (where I keep almost all my Steam games). In the game's folder in my Steam Library folder there are no save files, and in appdata because it is on a different hard drive there is no Undertale folder. So where do the save files go?

I just finished copying the save file onto a memory stick dedicated to it. Now they will all live on ;)

The True Reset will erase all of the character's memories and allow a clean slate. It resets the dialogue to the first time you played, for example, if you were to go back to the start of the game on a regular Reset, Flowey will recognize that you've been there before and ask you if you have anything better to do.

It also lets you automatically rename the fallen human without having to go into the files (even though this doesn't result in the Impossible Ending). You can name yourself Frisk to play a Hard Mode which lasts only for the Ruins, but is significantly more difficult.
