It's my thread. . .
That's probably for the best. . .
We can bring your threads to life
But your threads aren't dead and if they're not dead
Well they're no threads of mine
there's literally a mount snowdon
the water probably goes to waterfall. Scientists and tourists love throwing junk into the hole too. Like ping pong balls, GPS systems, and probably anime disks.
now, im not telling you to buy a plane ticket to minnesota and jump into this hole, but....yeah.
Mt. Ebott = Sawtooth Mountains.
Ah, I should have known.
I disagree, I'd expect language drift, massive language drift, if the Monsters started with a Native American language then learned English (and while I don't have anything against a Native American Frisk, I still don't think it to be likely).
Considering a time period underground long enough for ALL monsters to fade to myth and legend, and for a village to become a city, I'd expect the monsters to be trapped at least one thousand years before Chara fell, and anywhere from fifty to a couple hundred more between Chara and Frisk. Even if the Entire Game is translated to English for most player's readability, I'd suspect it to be more likely that Ebott is a European mountain, possibly even on Great Britain.
It'd be much easier to keep their language consistent and understandable if they start with the same Language as the Garbage that flows down into the Underground. Asgore's style of armour is also European (plate I believe), and I doubt many Native American civilizations encountered or used Tridents.
At the same time I wouldn't be surprised if Waterfall was inspired by Devil's Kettle, though I think it more likely that an underground river is undermining someone's dump, as I doubt they'd allow computer towers and television sets to be thrown down there. (Which also suggests said dump is active and not recycling).
Either that or you could go with what mat pat said and claim the game takes place under the world of EarthBound, in which case Mt. Ebott would be somewhere in America.
The waterfall going into the hole goes to the waterfall area in the game.
