Annoying dog after loading?
I got the annoying dog screen when i tried to load my savefile. I didnt mess around with anything, and i really cant get rid of it. Help please?

Try selling it at the Temmie shop. I don't know if this actually works, but you should try...

no I cant actually get into the game. I press continue on my save file but the annoying dog just walks across the screen with music playing and it never ends so i can't play. on Wikia it says it happens if you edit something in the files but i havent touched them :steamsad:

The annoying dog indicates your save file is in some sort of illegal state. When that happens, you should email Toby as indicated in the PINNED: Bugs and stuff discussion topic. It sounds like he knows how to massage your save back to a playable state. Follow this link he provided: http://undertale.com/contact.htm

Selling your annoying dog gives you 999 G. Try dropping it or using it to obtain dog residue.

In case anyone was wondering I just reset my save file and it worked fine after that :steamhappy:

Their is guides on the internet on how to fix it btw.

The annoying dog image only appears when the file get corrupted.
Their is ways to fix it and if I remember it happens rarely at least 2% chance which is very low.
This is also same goes with Terraria as if the file get corrupted then the files in the cloud also get corrupted that means the world map is lost and cannot be reopened.

Never seen it, but I know what you talking about, I think it's some kind of error, just like the dirty hacker ending. I don't know how to help sorry.
EDIT: Did you [underline]buy[/underline] Undertale from the store (not real life, Steam)? I think your ship is a pirate ship :papyrus: Who gave you the copy? Whoever gave you the pirated copy and committed game piracy, which is illegal and you can go to jail (I don't remember how many years or if there's parole, but it's against the law to commit piracy). Find out who gave you the pirated copy, or you may be charged (if someone is a snitch)

Oh no i bought it from the steam store, it was just a glitch i think. Im not very good with coding and such so i just reset my save file and the game has worked fine since. Problem is solved guys, no need to comment anymore :steamfacepalm:

This is REALLY, REALLY late but.....

I got this by trying out 999 while figuring out all the hacks you can do to get secret stuff. And I got this screen. Probably because 999 was WAY over the limit to what you can type in to teleport. So, from there, you can either reset, or hack. Hacking is easy when you know what to do. I would recommend looking at all the rooms you can go to here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Undertale/comments/3n3tiy/room_codes_teleport_as_you_please_cheating/

As well as getting Notepad++ so you know what you're doing a lot more. It's almost impossible without it. You can find the download here: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

I just typed in 264 to get the Entry Number 17 thing. Then I reset because I didn't know how to backtrack XD

its dogcheck its this thing toby put in the code to stop you from cheating or hacking it can be removed by editing the files
