Graphical glitches

I start the game for the first time and the text boxes are glitching out as well as some of the graphics on the overworld. during my first fight, text of what seems to be a sample font sheet, covers up the screen, and the options are invisible. i tried posting some screenshots, but it didn't work. I don't know what to do, can you please help me? If it helps, i'm running Windows XP

Try verifying the integrity of your game, if that doesn't work, perhaps you should uninstall and reinstall.

Never seen anyone have this issue so I'm not 100% sure what would help.

this same exact thing is happening to me why does undertale have to be with us window xp users :(
