Nerf Sans
I played this game trying to do genocide but didn't grind enough in the beginning so I got a neutral bad ending. Then tried pacifist but didn't make friends with undyne so neutral ending again. I looked up how to do pacifist and genocide since I already got neutral, did pacifist and now on genocide. However, I'm stuck on Sans because the fight is pretty unfair. I want to be able to experience all the game's endings, but I don't have time to sink 5 hours into one boss fight. I've died about 25 times, can't justify spending more time on this game. I'm probably just going to watch an LP and call it good. Wish the developer would have programmed the fight to be slightly easier, I got to the point where he says he's getting tired in phase 2 on my last attempt.

Sans is all about learning hits patterns. The more you use your items, the more the combat will last.
You need to practice a lot in order to take 0 or minimal hit from his first half patterns. And praise to be lucky enough to do the second half without using too many items, because, I think the only way to proceed through this battle is to attack. If you use an item, you're not even proceeding, you're just doing another turn until you click attack again.

Sans does not need a nerf he is the true final boss after all.

"Nerf Sans".

I'm sorry, I just had to laugh like really loud during work.

Ahahahahahaha!~

Are you serious? No, tell me, are you really being SERIOUS here?!

NERF Sans.

Yeah.

Nerf the guy that's putting his all into stopping you from continuing down your genocidal path.

Yeah. Mhm.

As if Toby would do that.

Listen, if everyone you ever loved and knew started dying by the hands of one person..and you STILL give them chances to redeem themselves (You don't even attack them when they kill your brother...)

And you're saying that he should pull his punches?

It's your hell that you deserve for killing everybody.

Also, this blue text is here for a reason. Sans text. <3

From a story perspective, Sans being overpowered makes sense. Sans knows full well the danger you risk bringing to his world, weakness and holding back is no longer an option if it means putting a stop to your dastardly deeds.

If you really wanna put it into perspective, Sans is breaking a common trope where a world-saving hero is usually weaker than their opposition, but wins out anyway, because of something cliche. Sans is going godmode at you right from the start, powered by nothing silly like love and friendship. He's driven by one thing: Determination to stop you from making the greatest mistake of your life.

I think it's awesome, I just wish he did it sooner when the signs became obvious on who you really are.

The whole point of fight with Sans is difficulty. Sans fights not to kill player character, but to make YOU PERSONALY leave. Deal with it.

Nerf sans so that the game's overall message and creativity can be worsened? All so you can watch a cutscene from your in game browser rather than youtube?

Like some people are saying, the point of the sans fight is to make YOU, the player give up out of pure frustraition, he even mentions this during the fight, and he is technically the final boss too, nerfing sans woulden't only make it easier, it would also water down the narative as it is tied to the gameplay itself with sans ability to completely break the 4th wall.

You either are going to need to learn his patterns and beat him through your own determination overiding his, or go watch a LP on youtube and have flowey mock you for being a weak coward. :sans:
