Fun value and fun value [SPOILERS]
I'll get stright to the point. Spoilers about everything in Undertale and its internal working are to follow.

In the ini file for undertale there's that fun value. This is what we know about the fun value so far:

-It recieves a new random value possibly between 1 and 99 every time you start a run from scratch.
-If changed from fun to Fun, it can trigger various events.

This is pretty much everything we know outside speculation about the fun value so far. With that in mind let me ask a question:

Assuming we're not supposed to mess with the ini file ourselves, what event changes fun to Fun?

On the other hand, we can ask ourselves another question. If effectively we're supposed to mess with the ini file ourselves (that way breaking the fourth wall between game and reality, a theme presented in multiple occasions in Undertale), where in the game is hinted that you should change fun to Fun?

I think these are the questions we must ask ourselves first if we really hope to solve the Gaster mystery without datamining.

It's probably like the difference between love and Love.
I did managed to get fun 100 (yes,100,not 10 nor 1) after resettting in the main menu before the credits of many runs, however i tried different things and never got Fun (fun went from 100 to 92 to 24 to some other values but nothing really changed)

Yeah, Fun is probably also an acronym.

Well, probably not as acronyms are generally in all caps.

Can you manually change the #s mid game and get the effects?

In the place where the fun value is found, there are other values as well. All of these values start with a capital letter, making the 'fun' value the odd one out. Changing it to 'Fun' gives it a capital first letter like all the others. To me, this seems like changing the value 'fixes' it.
