The fun setting
What is it? How do I get to it? Whenever I see people talk about it, everybody just acts like it's something I should just know, and nobody answers me if I ask what it is!

Then you're screwed and shouldn't even be able to play.

Oh yeah, TheGreatClatski, I figured out what the problem is. When you try to access capital "Fun" events, entering the corresponding room resets your "fun" value to 0. So you need to close the game and manually change the value each time in order to encounter the low % events.

I'm having issues as well. Every time I type in C:\User\name\local\Undertale, it shows up as C:\User\name\desktop\Undertale and that just starts the game. I tried typing the whole thing in and it says no folder cannot be found. Is there another way of doing this. I have Windows 8.1.

It's located on appdata/Local/UNDERTALE more specifically file0.
The W D Gaster guide should have more about it.
In short, renaming the setting to Fun and messing with the value on the right can lead to new NPCs appearing in the game, which will lead you on an ARG -if you can consider it one-.

But what if im using windows 10? I cant find file0 or undertale.ini. All I can see is data.win, options, steam_avi.dll, credits, D3DX9_43.dll and all the music files. There is a data file but it just takes me to data.win again. I cant open these files except for credits (a notepad file). I cant downgrade to Windows 7.

Your looking at decompiled undertale files i think you need to go to C:\Users\insertusernamehere\AppData\Local\UNDERTALE :lilac:

I'm on Windows 8. I've opened the UNDERTALE file0 thing, and I can't find anything "fun" related or anything? All I see is my character's name and a bunch of lines of numbers.

I've heard about a death counter in the game's files. If you change the amount of times you died does this activate the call from Sans?

Line 36 of file0 and the section labeled something like

[General]
fun="88.00000000"

in undertale.ini is your "fun" value.
