I'm at the end of a pacifist run, but is this supposed to happen?

After I beat and spared Asgore, flowey popped up and killed him and after that it cut to Sans leaving me a message with papyrus. Now I'm back fighting asgore for the third time, is this normal, or did I do something wrong?

You didn't do a pacifist run then as you actually killed something and got a different ending as a result.

Did you befriend papyrus and undyne?

if the answer is yes then reset the game, you are ready to play the actual pacifist playthrough, if not, then try killing asgore and seeing if anything different happens

If you beat Omega Flowey before, he might not fight you again.

I've been sparing asgore and just spared him for the fourth time. Halfway through talking he's killed by Flowey. He doesn't say anything after. Guess I have to kill Asgore and do this thing over again.

if this isnt your first playthrough i probably know your problem, also, some bad news, you are gonna have to play the whole game all over if it is.
After fighting mettaton you need to leave the core,
youll get a call from undyne,
bring her letter to alphys,
do alphys stuff, then go to alphys lab and enter the bathroom,
youll enconuter a whole new area i wont spoil
dont kill any of the enemies there like any enemey
if you do this all right youll be at the black and white place and the exit will be covered with vines
try to fight asgore
the true ending will begin

yeah i guess try that, if you havent fought the flowey boss fight yet i dont know, if you have reset the game and start a new pacifist playthrough following the instructions

Rather weired. So you didn't fight FLowey in his weired photoshop-form? What happens after you spared the king, does the game simply close?

also if you are about to fight the flowey boss just know, your game will crash, just boot it up again

I did in a neutral run before, but now when I spare Asgore he just kills him and destroys his soul, then the game ends and I'm back at my last save point. i'm guessing when I kill him I'll get boss flowey, but not the true ending because I forgot to date Undyne.

You can still date undyne. Go back to her house.
If you didn't date papyrus and undyne then you won't get the true ending. After you do that go spare asgore and let that play out again. Then if everything went correctly it will crash your game and give you further instructions.

yeah forget what i said about resseting, if you are truly doing a pacifist run, just leave the king, and do everyones dates, papyrus, undyne, and alphys all have one, youll get the alphys one after the date with undyne, then follow my instructions above in the wall of text

Whether I spare or kill Asgore doesn't change the ending, so going back and dating Undyne is the only way to fix it like you said. I just thought the Undyne date would have been blocked by now. im pretty sure its not, go date undyne and follow my instructions, alot of people will probably end it at the "just date them" thing but thats not it, you also have to go through the true lab (its in alphys bathroom) just so you remeber ill copy paste my wall of text.
