Undertale
True lab memory heads monster (secret?)
Hello all, im having some trouble within the true lab
If you keep going left where the sticky corpses are there will be 3 sinks

When you open all 3 of the sinks an enemy pops out of the last sink called "Memoryheads"
where 3 bizarre looking monsters come out of.

I searched online about it but im finding nothing on them so i think i might have stumbled onto something here.
Anyway when fighting them you get the choice to use item and put a piece of the memory head in your inventory
After that within the act screen you can also use cell and after that the choice of item goes and join or refuse replace it.

What am i suppose to do?
you cant attack them either as it just screws up and does something weird, its all so bizzare

would post screenshots if i knew how

The memoryheads will give you one if you choose "Item" (or something similar...) from the Act menu.

..memoryheads..? I've beaten the entire game, even the ture ending. Where is this?
Turn on the sinks in the true lab.

Huh, maybe they're not required. I tend to check everything, so I found them right away.

One of those apparations? I found the guy in the sink.

Those are (or should be) the memory heads.

Ah..I didn't find any items from them, ever. I acted. Should I have killed them..?

There should have been an option in the act menu called Item or something very similar. If you have space in your inventory, you'll get a bad memory.
If I remember correct, the "Item" command is only there before you do the Call/Phone command (forget which of those it was named). That may be why a lot of people missed it.

The memoryheads aren't really a secret. I think you need to beat them to get through the lab, don't you?

If the bad memory has another use, no one's found it yet, so by all means, experiment.
I experimented a bit with the Bad Memory item a little ago and didn't find much, though there is one okay-ish use for it (though it's nothing big). Normally the item reduces your current HP by one, though if you use it when you have 3 HP or less, it'll restore your health to full instead.
So it's the bad trip pill from isaac :P

I was already told, but thank you.
Just want to say that bad memories are sold for 300 each to Temmie. Last dreams are sold for 250 each. Too bad you can't grind either fight more than once ^_^

Honest question: What's the point of selling anything to Temmie after the final battle? I've heard a few people mention selling Last Dreams to her but I don't know why you'd need to.
If you're going for a max gold run it seems important (without dog remnants). I think that if you do certain actions to certain enemies and then spare them you get more gold. Feeding Temmie flakes to Temmie in battles gives you like 90 gold. So gold could be a measure of how well you played.

Edit: Just want to point out that the starting candies are worth 150 gold. You can get 4 normally, unless you've done a pacifist run where it skips the "you feel bad" dailogue (the normal dailogue for taking two) and you can only get 3. A true reset run may allow you to get 4. Furthermore, all the spider bake sale items sell for a fortune to Temmie.

Oddly enough, my girlfriend is playing two feet away from me and only got 30 gold after feeding Temmie the flakes.

Interesting.. I may be remembering wrong but.. when you feed Temmie her flakes you can say no, Temmie says "pppppppppppppp!" and saying yes may give you more gold after. The gold could also be randomized but.. in the store when Temmie says "You have ___ ? Temmie needs! But Temmie neesd to pay for gradschool, but needs ___ !" Saying no once gives you more gold.

Edit: Or whatever Temmie says lol.

Oh, she just said yes, so that might be the difference.

I'm wondering, has anyone tried using these items around Asriel, post game? The bad memory and the last dream, not the Temmie Flakes.
