Undertale
A few music-related questions
Apologies if these questions have already been asked. I just figured I'd request another set of ears.

First off, after realizing that Dogsong and Tem Shop were basically remixes of Enemy Approaching(Standard battle theme), I think I might be hearing things in other songs that just aren't there. After listening to parts of Muffet's battle theme and Napstablook's battle theme, I'm starting to hear similarities. Is there anything to that, or am I just hearing things?

Also, when you stay at the Snowdin Inn, the three people in the next room start snoring a tune if you stay the full "night." Is the tune actually another song in the game, or a reference to something else? Or is it just some random tune?

Actually a TON of the songs re-use bits from other songs in the game (technical term is "reprise" I think). Composers often do this to promote a sense of familiarity.

Muffet, Napstablook, and Angry Puppet all use the same underlying song.

Home Theme is re-used in Mettaton's Songs, the Shop Song, etc. Listen to "Can you really call this a hotel I didn't get a mint on my pillow or anything", then list to the home theme at 2x speed. You'll notice the similarity.

Asgore's Battle Theme is a remixed version of Toriel's Battle Theme.

There's a lot more examples I'm not thinking of at the moment.

Oh, I knew about some of the others, like Toriel and Asgore. In that case, it kinda makes sense. I just wasn't sure about Muffet and Napstablook because nothing really connects them, yet I can hear the same tune in each. I guess in my case the Muffet/Blook thing didn't seem quite as obvious as the others.

Thanks, though.

Don't suppose you have an answer about that snoring "song" in Snowdin Inn?
Might have something to do with the fact they're all written by the same guy for the same project. Hmm.
if you speed it up, im not really sure up to what, it's really just 'determination' slowed down. hope that helped c:

No, you don't have to speed it up to hear it.
