How to revert a save? I screwed up.
I got to Asgore without killing anyone and spared him after fighting him. Then Flowey showed up and I realized I hadn't achieved the pacifist ending. Is there any way I can revert my save so I'm not stuck in the weird and really hard Flowey fight and go back to the save before the barrier? Thanks!

Your save is already reverted after you beat Flowey. Just load it and go do what he told you to do.

I could be wrong but I think that you have to fight Flowey in the Pacifist ending? As far as I can tell the ending I got was the "True Pacifist" ending and that still involved confronting Omega Flowey. You're probably fine?

Ok but is there a way to revert my save without beating Flowey?

If the final boss of the game was Flowey then you didn't get the True Pacifist ending.

Did you already beat him? If you did then just reload your save and do what he says. You won't have to fight him again.

You have to beat Flowey before you can get the pacifist ending, there's no way around it.

Hmm. I did, though? After I fought Flowey and reloaded? This is making me reconsider how many times I "actually" played through the game. Because I thought it was just one! Since I didn't start over from the very beginning in order to access the True Lab and Asriel battle stuff. So I had been counting that as a single playthrough and a single ending, rather than a Neutral followed by a True Ending.

I feel like Dogamy and Dogaressa right now. My mind has been expanded!

I think that's how most people did it, it's just that the discussion surrounding the endings is a little dicey.

The neutral ending involves fighting Asgore and Flowey, then the phone call from Sans. You can't progress past it to get the true ending if you killed anyone so in some playthroughs it does serve as a "final" ending.

It seems that everyone is ignoring the fact they are asking if they can go back to before the Omega Flowey fight without beating Omega Flowey.

As far as I know the answer to that question is, unless you made a copy of your save file beforehand, no, you cannot.

So much confusion over endings I've been planning on just writing a guide.

For now though here's crude, minimal-spoiler flowchart that I hope will help clear some things up for people on how to obtain the different endings.

Yes, you can really die. I guess some people (like me) are just bad.

Okay, so the gist of it is you can never get the "True Pacifist" ending without getting a neutral ending at least once. There is an event that will only trigger after you get one of the neutral endings, so you always will have to beat Flowey, there's no way around it.

If you haven't killed anyone the whole game, you will be able to load your save after you beat Flowey to right before the Asgore fight. You can then go to this new event that has unlocked, and from there you'll be on the path to the True ending.

So to answer your question, no, you cannot. If you want the True ending and you've killed no one the whole game, you're doing everything right so far.

To answer OP's question: Getting to Flowey on your first playthrough is normal. Also please note that during the fight, your fighting progress saves during the fight.
Stay DETERMINED.

And after all that is done and cleared... load your game and assess the situation... not all is lost, you may have just forgotten something.
