Tips for new players?
I'll be playing this game for the first time pretty soon. All this hype around Deltarune has me curious... Any tips you'd give a new player? Things you wish you knew when you started? That sort of thing. Thanks! :stella_happy:

The game itself is not complicated. You should just play however you see fit, that's how undertale is supposed to be played.

Undertale does not work like pokemon.I am saying this so that flowey wont guilt trip you because you accidentally killed a fricking goat. And you should definetly first play the pacifist route before the genocider route(you do not need to play any of the routes you can just play how you want). And characters will treat you how you treat them, sort of.
Hope this helps somehow !

When I started I wish I knew not to trust Flowey. The "friendliness pellets" are not good! And, weather you kill, or spare, plays a big role on how the characters treat you. Attacking does not matter much unless it kills them. I suggest doing true pacifist first because it is pretty fun and you can befriend the characters much better. And there are some fun things you can explore! Playing around can help you understand the characters better.
Bye! :flowey:

It's really easy to get spoiled, so, actually most people wish they knew less when they started.

The less you know, before playing it, the better.

The game can play a lot different, btw, depending on how closely you pay attention & follow directions & who you decide to listen to / obey & who you decide to ignore.

It's hard to get the full experience if you actually listen to what the characters have to say & make a reasonable & accurate assessment about whether they are worth listening to or not ...but that's in part because this game treats you the way that you treat it.

There is a reason why people tell you going in blind and avoid as much spoiler information on Undertale. The more you know about the game ahead of the time. It will become less interesting each time.
