Papyrus is the only enemy in Pacifist that you can kill.

So you could just stop fighting after about five tries
To unlock the pacifist ending you will also need to hangout with him at his house after the battle, but this can be done at any point later in the game.
Flirting only changes what Papyrus calls your visit with him for the pacifist ending. If you flirt he calls it a date, otherwise he just calls it hanging out. Completing either will still get you the good ending.
