It is, but i figured it'd still work, monsters are kind of a broad term, and I mean there's anthromorphic armored fish and giant fluffy goats. Recycling a sonic character that simply used a knife can't be the worst possible thing, not like I recolored Toriel and said "My original character" or something like that lol.

i know but people recolor characters and call em their OC and i think that taking a sonic OC you made is better than recoloring something :P

Yeah but do you really need the source to be B&W too? can't you use a colored & shaded source to make the sprite? I mean I understand Undertale uses black and white and that is what the product will look like but don't you have the ability to make a black and white from a colored?

You don't need the source to be black and white too but shading makes it harder to know which color it should be, black or white. color doesn't make much of a difference, you can literally make it rainbow and i can decolor it by simply desaturating.
