Okay so why did Frisk fall down the hole?
Why would she climb up the mountain anyway? Is there anything in the game that would give evidence to a reason?

It's implied to be attempted suicide, but nothing is confirmed. It's up to the player.

You could interpret it as a clever metaphor that you, as the player, "fell into the hole" of the game. Some players fall into the hole intentionally to escape from the reality of the surface, others fall cautiously into the game without intenting of getting sucked in.

The Kickstarter page for Undertale says, "Seeking refuge from the rainy weather, the child enters a cave and discovers an enormous hole. Moving closer to look... the child falls in."

Do you think Frisk doesn't have anyone or something? Some of these seem like an attempted suicide. And at the end of the pacifist route Toriel if you have anyone you have to be with and I'm pretty sure a lot of us chose to stay with her instead of going back to our family... Idk if this has anything to do about it though
