Are the genocide bosses too hard?
Okay so I recorded my genocide playthrough on 2 diffrent platfroms. One for the actual bosses and the other for everything else. My hours on the game before starting the playthrough were 21 and after this they're at 34. 9 of that is bosses and 4 is everything else.
I get that the bosses are only there to make the run difficult but I think they make it a bit too difficult.
Anyone feel the same? Also PLEASE tell me a way to legit beat Undyne in genocide I had to go use my friend's account to beat it which was saved after Undyne. Thanks! :steamhappy:

Btw I did the seperate recodings 'cause I heard the bosses where hard and I just wanted to test how long it takes. And no I didn't upload these recordings.
:steamfacepalm:
Yes. But that's the point.

Too hard? Nah, it just takes some practice. If you get enough good hits w/ the Ballet Shoes, you can kill Undyne before she does certain difficult attacks.

Sans just takes time to memorize his patterns.

just git gud

also for my friend yume Tsuki, she just beaten Undyne Genocide with a DDR.

srsly... just git gud
I gotta admit Genocide is really hard. But really. It's the point where a game wants to fight against you. Any monster would get determined to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of a very dangerous being on the path of murder.

Pacifist is for people who want to see story so the game is quite mericful at that point. Genocide for the actual challenge. After all, someone who is new to gaming would prefer to figure out other ways than to fight than the more advanced RPG gamers right? Someone who kills others doesn't deserve mercy.

You only have two that give you a good run.
Undyne the undying and Sans.

That, and not even the normal random encounters pose any kind challenge after a point, either. You're one-shotting pretty much anything. It's almost as if the devs are mocking you for wanting to go out and play around with all those weapons to see how well they work on things, by making your base character so powerful that the weapon you use barely matters.

Undyne isn't that bad, got her my second try.

but yes, Sans is supposed to be hard and unfair. that's his whole point. he's breaking all the established rules because he wants you to quit.

Ik it's not that the random encounters are hard. To be honest Sans isn't hard either (except for a few attacks and ranodm bones :steamsad:) but it's Undyne. ONLY UNDYNE. And just because of the random oves otherwise pacifist would be the only even half way challenge in the whole game ONLY because of the low health. Mostly what I'm saying is the only hard stuff is genocide bosses and pacifist health bar. If those aren't aare then in my opinion Undertale is just a story game with some gameplay.

Yeah but Undyne is my problem. Sand does break the 4th wall though. (sorta kinda xD)
No. . . they're a good challenge, which is rare for modern RPGs.

Plus after you beat them once. . . you'll get better at them.

I literally just repeatedly fight Sans for fun now.

I can only say what people have already said - it's meant to be hard. The books in the Library talk about how a monster with no will to fight is weak.. Well Undyne really really REALLY wants you to die, so it's only logical that she ends up really strong.
It's not too hard though, I actually recorded me fighting her, I think it took 9 times.. But it was pretty interesting to watch the recording back and see how much I improved from my first try. It really is just a case of try try try again...
