The game along with MANY Bullet Hells are leagues better with a keyboard compared to any controller since the game responds to the controls more efficiently with keys compared to an analog/D-pad.

I've played with a controller since I don't find the game difficult with either or and it was conveniant at the time until Sans. His attack where he slams and raises a row of bones is near impossible to avoid with a controller
