"It`s a ilustration of a strange creature"
There`s something very unsettleling about this picture.

What is it? Could it be Flowey?

I wonder what that fusion looked like... the one after the buttercup incident.

There's only been one known instance of a monster absorbing a human SOUL. And that's with Asriel absorbing the Fallen Human's SOUL. It's most likely a depiction of that event.

Good headcanon!

I may have a rough idea on what the creature might look like.

I'm not counting Omega Flowey as the horrific creature, because it's not related to the context of what else was written about the result of a monster soul fusing with a human. Flowey, technically, doesn't have a monster soul anymore, having lost it when he died as Asriel.

The "unsettling" creature could be Frisk, considering they fit the "beast of immeasurable power" description. Think about it, he can control saves and resets and at the end of a No Mercy run, can destroy the entire world.

Alternatively, there's Omega Asriel from the pacifist run. Technically, he did gather up a ton of other monster souls along with the humans to gain that form.

* If a monster defeats a human, they can take its SOUL.
* A monster with a human SOUL...
* A horrible beast with unfathomable power.
* (It’s an illustration of a strange creature...)

> Picture of Frisk.
Seems legit.

The monsters were apparently aware they could absorb human souls long before Chara came along- so that specific instance may or may not be what is depicted.

The description is vague enough to mean almost anything and we don't have enough examples to really guess.

I personally wonder if monsters always become hideous creatures after absorbing human souls. It begs the question- is it the human component that makes them twisted? Again, our primary example is Flowey and he does not make a good one to base theories on.

Another sign mentions that humans cannot take monster souls, unless it's a boss monster, because their souls last for a brief moment before perishing.

Humans could potentially take monster souls and the only person who could conceivably have come close to that would be Chara when they died. Asriel took their soul, causing them to fuse. Asriel later dies, his dust spreads to flowers (later resulting in Flowey), while Chara's everlasting soul departs to the heavens.

It's quite possible Chara's soul is still merged with Asriel's, explaining why someone like Frisk can control saves and resets when no other human could.

It's never explained why Frisk has that ability to save. I believe there are hints the other humans were capable of the same- but that subject is another can of worms. If the other humans could reset, how did they end up dead?

And when did it start? Chara's influence doesn't seem like enough. There is one other entity to suspect but as we continue down this line of questioning there becomes less and less straws to grasp.

Ultimately, you will arrive at a place that has no answers. Not even clues.

I know that.

The other humans had SAVE/LOAD powers. They just eventually lost the will to live and died.

Toriel implies during the Cinnamon/Butterscotch phone call that previous humans were able to SAVE. She retained déjà vu memories. (0:31).

True Lab implies that humans in general are extremely determined, which gives them their power to change fate.
* ENTRY NUMBER 5
* I’ve done it.
* Using the blueprints, I’ve extracted it from the human SOULs.
* I believe this is what gives their SOULs the strength to persist after death.
* The will to keep living...
* The resolve to change fate.
* Let’s call this power...
* “Determination.”

Flowey was injected with human determination, which gave him the ability to SAVE/LOAD. He also could have chosen to die at any time.
Flowey: At any point, I could have left this world continue on without me. But as long as I was determined to live... I could go back.
http://imgur.com/a/uUAmp

Flowey implies that you can lose determination and lose your SAVE powers.
Flowey: But what will you do if you meet a relentless killer? You'll die and you'll die and you'll die. Until you tire of trying. What will you do then? Will you kill out of frustration? Or will you give up entirely on this world... ...and let ME inherit the power to control it?

-----------

But even so, you are right about one thing. There are hints that Frisk's SOUL could have a piece of Asriel's SOUL.
- Human SOULs normally persist beyond death. The SOUL the Player controls does not: it shatters like a Boss Monster's SOUL.
- The Player is able to make it through the Barrier somehow, which is implied in each Neutral phone call. But you need both a human SOUL and a monster SOUL to cross the Barrier, or a very powerful SOUL.
- You are somehow able to SAVE Asriel during the Pacifist ending even though he has no SOUL.
