Attacking:
You can shoot the legs more than once. If they are white, they won't move, and if they are yellow, they'll bob back and forth. Shoot them at the appropriate times to make a pathway for yourself. For the disco ball, shoot the ball to change the lines from white to blue, and don't move. If there's avoidable bombs, just shoot the rubble instead. If there's unavoidable bombs, shoot the bomb once, then immediately slide over to the left or right.
Ratings:
- "Legs" is one of the best answers for the essay portion.
- Eat Starfaits, Glamburgers, Legendary Heroes, and the Face Steak from MTT Emporium. Face Steak gives the best ratings boost.
- Use the Stick for a ratings boost. It’s +700 during Mettaton’s normal phase, +1,400 if Mettaton has no arms or legs.
- Changing clothes is really good for ratings. Only works once for each new article of clothing.
- If you have low health, use Pose.
- If you feel confident in dodging, use Boast.
- If you feel you’re gonna get hit a lot, use Turn Heel.
Boasting will give you a lot of ratings IF you don't get hit on mettatons turn.
Heel Turn will give you ratings when you are hit on mettatons turn.
Finally, posing just gives you some ratings at the start of the the round, use it when it doubt.
Also, stack up on starfaits and use them during the fight with mettaton, they give you ratings.
