Movies with similar narrative "twists" as Undertale
I remember a lot of thread asking for games similar to Undertale, in which people have some difficulty trying to suggest such games......

.......But it reminded me, there are a lot of movies that gives a similar narrative style!

These are movies in which at the start, gives you a expectation that this might be a simple movie or cartoon. Then boom. Tragedy starts to come in and won't let us go.

This also means this is a list of movies you do not want to show to children unless you want to traumatize them.

- Bridge to Terabithia
- Watership Down
- The Brave Little Toaster
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Life is Beautiful
- The Land Before Time

also gamewise Majora's mask. undertale gives off the same, 'happy with an of undertone sorrow.' vibe. though admittedly its much darker.

Kinda difficult to compare a "meta" game to other "happy to sad" stories or dark undertones.
Watership down from what i know is a far more criticism to politics. Know of it, never actually actively seen it, and i should because it's a dutch producion.

I did love Land before time, loved it. Read that they even brought in a child phsycologist, to see if the events wouldn't scare the kids too much. It does have the same feeling ov lofe and dread through the whole movie. So in that expect i would agree. Not to mention it's one of the few kids movies i enjoyed who had bits with a narrator.
