Did I kill my geno run?

So I am doing a genocide run...although feeling like a peice of ♥♥♥♥...I have a kill count of 40 but I am not encoutering anything after getting to Snowdin and my save point says the comedian but I can't get anymore encounters and I am running around untill my fingers are sore. Does this call for a reset?

"That Comedia... " in Red. I haven't initiated the fight with Papyrus yet because I thought I could still use the inn before I keep killing stuff.

If it says "That Comedian..." then you need to kill more to get "Determination."
If you aren't getting encounters you mean you are getting "But nobody came"?

It's probably that comedian.

To check if you're still on Genocide.

- Once you reach snowdin, check the music, if it's normal, backtrack immediately. Do not go inside the town.
- Outside the town either go south (To Gyftrot) or go West to grind.
- Once "Nobody Came" message happens, try to go back in Snowdin,
- If the music in Snowdin is slowed down, you're back in Genocide.

Nope, I just keep walking around the map waiting to get that message so i can continue. I know that encouters get rare the closer you get to killing everything.

You need to kill 16 enemies before the fight with Papyrus or else it's invalid.
Also tip, if you killed all enemies, you will encounter
a)But Nobody Came
b)huge difference in music
c)everyone leaving (This also means you can get free items from the shop when you've finished Genocide in Snowdin.)

Before Snowdin's enterance, there is a bridge. Farm there and whenever you kill a monster, go back to Snowdin and out. Makes it faster

I am guessing my encouter rate is just garbage since I have been walking around 20 minutes with nothing. Since Snowdin is full and happy when I walked in I might reset if I don't get anything within the next 10 mintues.

Don't walk between maps, that resets your encounter rate.

Entering the town doesn't invalidate Genocide run, but the Papyrus fight when you didn't kill all monsters does.
Just keep grinding at the bridge enterance going in a circle in both up and down directions (press arrow key down and up to initiate this faster)
