do you think mew mew kissy cutie might be a reference to tokyo mew mew?

reasons for this.
1. both titles have mew mew in them
2. both star a pink haired cat girl, and they are both senstive about their ears. (though mew ichigo wasn't born with them nor are they out all the time.)
3. in the anime if mew ichigo is kissed she turns into a cat, could that be what happens if mew mew misses the kiss as described by alphys?
4. both have powerful elements of friendship.
5. fineally the fan reaction to the sequel is very spilt. some people love a la mode and some people hate it because it "replaced mew ichigo with a stupid mary sue." frankly i just think there wasn't enough time to develop the sequel, it was only two books...

Tokyo Mew Mew, was the first thing I thought of when I saw it but we can only Theorize unless Toby confirms things.
