Why do people obsess over Gaster?

I mean, it's so odd.

I have seen the "gaster follower" and crap, so I know his "story".

He's not in the game normally, even then spr_mysteryman may just be a guy whos not even Gaster.

Oh, and one thing I wondered: Why do people not see the analogy?

Gaster fell into the "CORE", and was "spread throughout time and space, forgotten", and you need to go through the code to find him.
It's obvious he wasn't meant to be in the game, as he was 'forgotten' by Toby and spread throughout the code.
