Need help - editing the save game
I'm on my first playthrough, and I have trouble defeating the king. Just a bit more health would be awesome, and I don't want to grind the game or restart it from the beginning. Looks like the save files are in AppData\Local\UNDERTALE, and they are in plain text.. I tried googling, but there are too many links and posts about this game, and I want to avoid spoilers if possible. I found this: http://undertale-science.tumblr.com/post/131393273863/how-do-you-even-hack-the-game-i-cant-find-anything, but it doesn't provide a link where this "undertale encyclopedia" is?

So, what exactly do you want to do?
Hack the game to get past the King? Or hack it to give yourself extra health?

Like I said, more health would be best.

Ok, I'll try to explain this the best I can.
Go into your UNDERTALE folder
Go into the file9 (or whatever file has your character name and stats listed in it)
simply delete the listed health inside the file and replace it with your desired health
this SHOULD work, as I've done it before
but it wasn't on the same type of run.

Or he can git gud and actually play the game.

I'm not baiting, I'm serious.

Asgore isn't hard enough to drive you to using ♥♥♥♥ tactics like modifying your health values.

Just get Tem Armor if you're that bad.

If you're not used to "bullet hell" games, I can see how Asgore would be challenging to defeat. Besides, if they want to increase their health, why not let them? It's honestly not an issue to fight over.

Tem Armor exists for that reason.

Found it, looks like the health is on line 3, and I had to edit both file0 and file9.

Takes ages to get, though. Especially if you're doing a pacifist run. Honestly, there's nothing to fight over here. It was just someone asking for help, no need to make it bigger than it is.

Great, did it work?

Yep, my health was 52/52, and now it's 100/100 :) My first run is quite pacifist as I understand, I guess it makes the game harder.

You shouldn't have 52 health if you're doing pacifist...

Good luck defeating the boss!
