How do I start the Pacifist Route?

(This is my first time playing the game) I just beat Omega Flowey. I heard about routes called Genocide and Pacifist, and I wanted to know how to start the Pacifist route.

Don't kill anyone. . . and also hangout with Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys.

But do I have to reset the game?

Restart the game if you killed anyone or didn't help out Undyne.
-Kill Nobody.
-Befriend Papyrus and Hang out with him.
-Run away from Undyne when you get the chance, and make sure you give her the water and meet her back at her home in Waterfall.
-Make sure you get the letter after you managed to beat Mettaton EX with the highest rating.
-Back track to Undyne to get the letter and Hang out with Alphys.
-Go through the True lab.

If everything is done correctly Asgore will get hit by a Fireball

If you've gained any EXP, any at all, then yes.

If not, then just backtrack until you've hit the bridge that connects the core with the hotel, you should get a phone call there.

If you killed anyone, then yes, restart. If not, then listen to Flowey.
