Buying Undertale from Steam or Site
By some means that I'd rather not say, I have beaten Undertale without actually owning it on Steam. As I'm sure ALL of you can understand, there is definitely no way in hell I am not supporting Toby Fox for this INCREDIBLE game he has created. However, I am curious. If I buy Undertale from Steam, what % goes to Valve and what % goes to Toby? I also recently found out that you can buy Undertale from his website (which also gives you a code for the Steam version). I would assume that Toby would get the most money from that (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I know that I may seem to have already answered my question in saying that if I wanted to support Toby the most I can, then buying Undertale from his website looks like the best with no downside. However, I'm curious about the actual numbers in comparison to buying it from Steam. Thanks!

Oh, final question. If I hypothetically have Undertale on my computer already and then I buy the game which will prompt me to download it, is it as simple as transfering my save file onto the Steam version and then I'll keep my previous save? Primary reason why I'm asking is because I already completed the Neutral ending and I know that in the future when I do my pacifist ending, the game makes references to my previous save somehow (and I'd rather not know how). Thanks again!

Well, canonically speaking it's about as simple as trasfering the entire history of a universe into a parallel dimension... but technically I think copying the Undertale configuration file in appdata should do it. Unless you have some particularly vile sins you want to keep crawling on your back... in that case, I'm not even sure. The game might remember that whether you want it to or not.

Yeah, I thought it would be something as simple as that. I mostly just didn't know which file was the save one since it's not too obvious. Worse comes to worse and I can't transfer the file for some reason, I'll probably just complete my second playthrough on my non-steam version and me buying the game is just to support Toby Fox. ... Watch them add Steam trophies down the line, haha. That just means playing the game more. What's not to love?

As for your last question... well, you'll see.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I decided to google this exact question and saw this near the top of the results. When I saw the display picture of the person who asked the question, I thought "Wow, what are the odds that someone else has the same display picture of me?" Then I read the display name and thought "WOW. What are the odds tha- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's me."

Crazy how time flies and how forgetful we can be.
