Undertale

Undertale

Big Picture Mode
So I just got the game with the sale and saw a few comments in search about running the game in full screen at launch, etc in big picture mode.

While I didn't come up with a permanent solution, I set something up with joy2key that works great for me:

On a 360 pad, set the right anolog stick click to f4, and in my case, I set the esc key to the left analog stick click (2 gamepad buttons I rarely accidentally press). Creat a profile associated with only the Undertale.exe (that will only be used when that game is running), and then set joy2key to default to a blank profile (just make an extra profile called default, or something) after the game is quit, so you don't effect other games.

Works great, just hit the right stick at launch, and the left stick to quit the game. I use something similar for exiting emulators, etc.

Thought that would help those looking to play this on the couch like myself.

What? Was this addressed specifically to you? You bought a controller with an escape key and an F4 key? Holy crap where do I got one?!

This is just a recommendation to be able to launch the game in big picture in fullscreen without the need for a keyboard to hit f4 and the esc to quit properly. I trust you read the body of my post?

It's a bit furiating when this could've been easily fixed in several differend ways natively with the game, best example would be able to bind those two buttons in same menu other buttons are bound. And I'm certain many will like to play this with controller as mouse isn't used and only few buttons actually needed.
I have managed this far without third party softwares for controllers so I will not resort to them with this game either, but that's essentially only way to make the game fully controller compatible at this time.

Big picture does allow quitting game trough overlay, but it always feels wrong to essentially force quit the game.

This is like under two weeks old topic and still more than relevant because it's still a problem. I usually get notifications from several months old topics.

Two weeks=/=necro?

What do you consider a necro then?
Jesus dude this topic was made on the 23rd... chill with the necro. It'll be relevant for as long as it takes them to implement a fix... or forever, because they probably never will.
