Genocide route Point of no return.
At what point in the game cant the genocide route be abandoned.

After beating Sans, dont enter the throne room, or else your game gets the Geno Mark.

I need to do Genocide, but Flowey is gpne. What do I do?

the true evil isnt unleashed until you take it all the way.

If i didnt care i would just complete my playthrough.
Completing the playthrough is the action that permanently takes away everyones chance at happyness.
so long as i dont do that there chance exists.

Sorry flowey your mind games dont work on me anymore.

You seem to think that once you go and erase some files and by definition this "evil", everything is going to be a-okay.

But as it so happens, by definition, since you are doing the run once, that means you are willing to do it again.

Eventually, you will perform the run again out of boredom or similar, ripping the timeline back once more.

Maybe you'll let a sibling or cousin play, which is when you take it back, once more.

You won't stop.




There is no "happy ending". Erasing everything would be mercy.

Im going with the run once to appease my curiosity of fighting sans.
I will go through on this run fight against sans but will not deliver the final attack.
Ill be satisfyed knowing i am capeable of getting the ending rather then actualy achieving it.

I already have a sibling who loves the game and she will not go for a genocide ending.
as for my sentimentality we all have that.
Just some are more prone to act on it then others.

Like you for instance flowey whom has saved everyone and killed everyone.

So long as i never deliver the final blow my sin is not set and my soul is not gone and everyone gets there happy ending following every run afterwards.

Not in this case because you have the ability to undo your actions.
you only lose your soul once you complete absolute genocide because the world is destroyed and your reset ability no longer has its effect.

So long as you dont go through with the sin you can undo your actions and keep your soul.

HItler obviously lacked this ability and commited his sin knowing he had no capability of undoing it.
